Bush Clueless on Democracy for Minorities

Bush told the Black Caucus he "didn’t know anything about" the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The Act outlines provisions by which states are required to ensure equity in voting among minorities and the conditions under which voter discrimination suits can be filed. He said he is not sure about the need to renew it.
